How I Coach
My coaching is grounded in science-based nutrition and behaviour change, with a focus on long-term results - not quick fixes, restrictive diets, or rapid weight loss.

Coaching isn't about telling you what you should be doing. It’s about helping you build habits and routines with your diet and lifestyle that work for you so you can feel better and get to where you want to be in life.
A Practical Real-Life Approach
We start by learning all about you - what's unique and what makes you tick. What's already awesome and what's frustrating or concerning. What's working and what's not.
We'll clarify your goals and then begin building a simple and personalized way of eating and living that fits your life, one step at a time.

Your plan might include things like:
* Building balanced, satisfying meals that support steady energy
* Increasing whole, nutritious foods in a realistic way
* Creating a calmer, more confident relationship with food
* Reviewing your nutrient intake for weight loss, fitness or health
* Real-life solutions for weekends, travel and social events

Along with strategies such as:
* Stress-free meal prepping/planning for everyone's preferences
* Resolving late-night snack spirals
* Designing simple repeatable meals to reduce decision fatigue
* Creating an emergency meal plan for when life gets chaotic
* Incorporating a realistic exercise program or bedtime routine

A big part of my role is helping you bridge the gap between knowing what to do and doing it consistently, especially when life gets busy, stressful or messy.

A Few FAQ's
Do you provide meal plans?
I don’t provide rigid meal plans. Instead, I'll help you learn how to build meals confidently that work in your real life, with your preferences, schedule and goals. This approach supports long-term consistency and change rather than short-term compliance.
Do I have to track food, macros or calories?
No. Some clients may choose to use tracking tools short-term for awareness, but calorie or macro counting is not required. The focus is on habits, patterns, and skills, not numbers.
Do I have to cut out any foods?
No. A healthy diet and sustainable approach to eating includes ALL foods (even your favourite foods!) We'll work on balance, portioning, and consistency not restriction. For most clients, the first focus is on adding - ensuring that enough fruit and veggies are included. You may then find you have less room for the calorie dense foods!
Can you help with weight loss?
Yes. Weight loss can absolutely be a goal. We'll start by building a strong foundation - balanced nutrition and realistic habits - that support fat loss while maintaining muscle and energy. The focus isn't temporary quick-fixes. It's creating a sustainable plan you can follow for life, so the weight you lose stays off.
How long do clients usually work with you?
This varies. Most clients work with me for several months so they have time to build habits, practice skills and feel confident continuing on their own. Sustainable change takes time, repetition and support across different life situations. Often clients return to coaching when new challenges arise in their life.
Do you work with men?
Yes. While many of my clients are women, I also work with adults of all genders, as well as couples and families with children of all ages.
Can you help me get started with fitness and exercise?
Yes. I can support you with physical activity and exercise programs, habit-building, and helping you fit it realistically into your life. If you need a very structured training plan, I may refer you to a qualified fitness professional.
Is this coaching virtual or in-person?
Coaching is primarily virtual. In-home kitchen coaching and cooking classes are available as optional add-ons for Calgary clients.
